Hebrews 4:16

Let us then come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

What is Grace? Webster's 1828 dictionary defines grace as the free unmerited love and favor of God, the spring and source of all the benefits men receive from him. I chose to name my blog "Journeys in Grace" because if it weren't but for the grace of God I would have nothing to share. It is His goodness and grace in my life that give me any foundation to speak. It is through that grace, that we only have to step into, that we can partake of His goodness.

Grace alone gives us the chance to try again. His unending grace shows us how to not only receive from him but to be a vessel that transports grace in the lives of others. Isn't that truly our job.. our own personal ministry. To be a light that shines for Him. To show others the beauty of true relationship with a living loving God that delights in His children.

I have been continually reminded of Romans 8:28-31 " And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestine to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestine, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be aganst us?" He confirms over and over.. He is Good and if we but only step into the river of grace, that he freely sends into our our lives every day, we can know his goodness exponentially.

Grace is for today! Step into his grace and be encouraged in His love for you.
