Hebrews 4:16

Let us then come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

I have been reading a devotional called "Dare to Believe" by Smith Wigglesworth. He was a preacher who lived in Yorkshire,England and was often called " The Apostle of Faith". I have been so inspired while reading his sermons and blessed as I have drawn closer to the Lord by gleening from the time this man of faith spent with the Lord.

As I read the daily devotions I take notes and then journal my thoughts and I wanted to share my thoughts from yesterday.

Matthew 7:7 -8 reminds us to ask, seek and knock. " Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."

Smith Wigglesworth wrote: What would happen to us and the needy world if we should get to the place where we really believe God?"

Hebrews 11:6 tells us that if anyone comes to God they must believe that He is ( who He says He is) and that he is a diligent rewarder of all those who seek Him. Scripture confirms itself over and over, and it reminds us that God IS!

God is what? We can go to the names of God - Elohim - creator of heaven and earth, - El -Shaddai- Almighty God, - Adonai -Master, Jehovah-Jireh - provider, Jehovah-Rapha- healer, Jehovah-M'Kaddesh- my sanctifier, Jehovah-Nissi- my victory and banner, Jehovah- Shalom - my peace, Jehova-Tsidkenu- my righteousness, Jehova-Rohi- my shepherd, El-Elyon- The Most High God.

He is sufficient, complete, lacking in nothing, wisdom, love, fullness of joy, healer, righteousness, redeemer, Father, protector, omniscient, all-powerful, I AM, provider, deliverer, GOOD, acceptance. He is anything that we need and the glory that covers it.

The just shall live by faith. (Hebrews 10:38)
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. ( Romans 10:17)
We get faith by spending time in the Word. We know Him by finding Him in the Word. Psalm 138:2 tells us that He has magnified His Word above all His name.

We find faith to move mountains by yielding to the directions His Word gives us. We can use faith-filled Words ( His Word) in the situations and circumstances of our lives. Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the Word of God is powerful and alive, sharper than any two-edged sword piercing to the dividing assunder of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is this faith that will change lives.

Again to quote Smith Wigglesworth," Have you received this faith? If so, deal bountifully with the oppressed. God has called us to loose the bonds of wickedness, undo the heavy burden, let the oppressed go free, and break the yokes that the devil has put upon them. Pray in Faith!"

Unless we spend time with him and are filled with his love and compassion we won't have it to give to others. I was so blessed by his simple comment of dealing bountifully with others. What a blessing to love ... because He first loved us and we in our own sin did not deserve it. We can do no less but be vessels of love and ministers of peace and reconciliation to a generation that has all too often missed the basic truth that God is a pursuer of those He created. Isn't that awesome to realize that He pursues you.

I woke up today with this scripture in my heart: Zephaniah 3:17 " The LORD your God in the middle of you is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over you with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over you with singing."

Be blessed today!
